Just how important is Basic Preparation?
Very Important! Without the proper underlayment, you risk the chance of multiple problems, like poor drainage, premature cracking of pavement, and even caverns being formed under the pavement which can lead to sinkholes. These are just a few problems that arise from having the wrong type of underlayment.
